James and I were talking on the phone last night and the topic of New Year’s Eve came up. He asked me what my plans were, and it was really saddening. I figured out that, since he’s still going to be in Alaska then, it’ll be 2012 there three hours after midnight here.

Nothing.
There’s no one else that can make me smile and laugh and almost cry within 2 1/2 short hours. Our conversations are golden. And his voice makes my insides all warm and fuzzy.
Plus, we never ever run out of things to talk about. Ever. There’s always a story that hasn’t been told or a joke that has to be made. Everything always leaves a window open for many other...
